Synchrony @ Work
DAY IN LIFE OF A CLAIM

3. Collaboration in Case Management
Once Jane's authorization for release of information has been confirmed, the Synchrony team works together as appropriate to explore options and create a customized return to work plan.

Thursday, 10:02 a.m.
After learning of the potential lost time for Jane's injury, the Disability Case Manager sets it up in the system to pay salary continuance after Jane's 7-day elimination period.

Thursday, 10:30 a.m.
During a collaborative discussion, the Medical Case Manager suggests that a modified duty program might be appropriate for Jane, in light of the relatively long recovery time after rotator cuff surgery.

Thursday, 11:22 a.m.
Jane's employer is contacted about the possibility of modified duty. The employer says ABC Corporation can accommodate any reasonable restrictions.
